Ease
The First 18 SE is maneuvered by 1 to 3 people thanks to its equipment designed for easy sailing: large cockpit, winding jib, spi sliding system, high throw and absence of backestay which allows you to have a larger square sail at the top.
Community
The monotype regatta program includes banana tours with crews or double or solo high altitude regattas. Whatever your specialty, you will always be well received by the First community.
Mobility
The lifting keel, the movable rudders and the very light carbon mast make the First 18 SE very easily transportable and easy to put in the water. The guarantee of beautiful discoveries and encounters.
Security
The First 18 SE is one of the safest sailboats in its category. It is unsinkable, the lifting keel protects the structure in case of bottom and the rudders give it absolute control whatever the conditions.
SAILING EXPERIENCE
The First 18 SE looks like a derivative because of its fire, it is however much less fickle thanks to its sleeve and its deep liftable keel. The two rudders ensure precise control in all conditions even in the planning at full speed.
All maneuvers are simplified to the extreme and favored by a quality fitting; the jib is on reel, the asymmetrical spi with a rear system, the carbon mast allows you to dispense with a backestay and offers the possibility of a square main sail in its upper part that improves performance with little wind. The organization of the bathtub facilitates solo use but also allows to accommodate 2 or 3 crew members.

LIFE ON BOARD
Despite its modest size, the cabin of the First 18 SE accommodates two adults in coastal camping mode. The double V-sized bunk is a good size and the movable stowage bags allow you to store your personal belongings while the large chest under the tub is dedicated to technical equipment.
The comfort is true it is reduced compared to the most traditional cruise sailboats but the First 18 SE is perfect to expand your navigation radius and give you access to the coves and secret beaches. Thanks to the lifting keel completely integrated into the hull and the movable rudders, it has never been easier to put your boat on the beach…
